Bring Your Idea to Life.

Product development & engineering services

Have a Product Idea?
Let’s Engineer the Path Forward.

Bring an idea, a practical problem, or an existing design. We help you explore what is possible, develop the design, and prepare for prototyping and manufacturing.

You do not need CAD files, engineering experience, or a finished design to start.

Start with a free conversation. Work directly with the person developing your product.

An engineering bracket evolving from a technical sketch into a finished product concept.

Start where you are

An idea or a problem

Individuals, inventors, and entrepreneurs figuring out what to build and how to begin.

A business taking its next step

Startups and small businesses developing a new product or improving one they already sell.

An existing design

Companies needing engineering, CAD, prototyping, testing support, or manufacturing preparation.

From idea to product

A clear path, one decision at a time.

The right stages depend on your project. We agree on the work before each major phase begins.

The first conversation is free. We discuss your goals, assess whether we are a fit, and explain possible next steps. Research, CAD, calculations, drawings, and prototypes are paid work and are not part of this introductory conversation.

A focused first investment

Product Discovery

Starting at$199

Before investing heavily in development, understand what it may take to turn your idea into a real product.

Discuss Product Discovery

We confirm the scope, deliverables, and price before paid work starts.

Preliminary analysis. A practical direction.

Discovery helps define the engineering work ahead. Depending on the agreed scope, it may include:

  • Basic requirements, major design challenges, and preliminary feasibility considerations.
  • Initial concept direction, with a simple sketch, CAD concept, or visual when appropriate.
  • Likely materials, components, and manufacturing-process options.
  • Key risks and unknowns, plus rough prototype or production cost ranges when reasonably possible.
  • A development roadmap and an estimate for the next phase.

Preliminary findings, not a finished design. Discovery excludes production-ready CAD, final drawings, finished prototypes, complete manufacturing documentation, and detailed tooling quotes. It does not guarantee patentability, manufacturing feasibility, or commercial success.

Engineering & product development

Practical support for the next stage.

If you choose to continue, we prepare a proposal with the scope, deliverables, and estimated cost. Projects are divided into manageable phases whenever practical.

Design & CAD

Mechanical product design, CAD modeling, reverse engineering, and improvements to existing products.

Prototype & refine

Prototype development, 3D printing, design iteration, and testing support.

Technical decisions

Engineering analysis, material research, and component selection suited to the requirements.

Prepare for production

Design for manufacturing, engineering drawings, manufacturing preparation, and vendor coordination where appropriate.

Services and deliverables depend on the project and agreed scope.

Development you can follow

See what is moving your project forward.

Updates connect time spent with work completed. Depending on the phase, you may see CAD screenshots, concept images, prototype or testing photos, design revisions, and hours by major task.

You will also see the current status, decisions needing your input, and what comes next.

This example uses our own pool-light bracket to show a progress summary. Update format and frequency are agreed for your project.

Illustrated example · based on our own project

A real problem. A bracket built around it.

We built a custom bracket to mount a purchased pool light using large suction cups instead of glue or screws in the vinyl liner. The steps below illustrate a possible development path, not the original project log.

  1. Idea

Mount the purchased light without gluing or screwing into the vinyl liner.

  2. Discovery

Check the light, suction-cup dimensions, available space, and mounting constraints.

  3. Concept

Develop a bracket layout around the light and suction-cup attachment points.

  4. Prototype

Produce and assemble a bracket to check the fit with the purchased components.

  5. Check in use

In our own pool, the completed bracket held the light in place without damaging the vinyl liner.

  6. Manufacturing preparation, if needed

For repeat production, validate the design and agree on manufacturing requirements, documentation, and scope before proceeding.

Two ways to work together

Choose the conversation that fits.

The primary path

Engineering Services

Hire IngenioTech Labs to develop or improve your product through paid, agreed phases of work. Start with a free conversation, then review a scope that fits your project.

Start Your Project

Selective partnerships

Have an idea worth building together?

We selectively consider product-development collaborations. Licensing, royalties, revenue sharing, or another structure may be discussed where there is a mutual fit.

Opportunities are evaluated individually and are more selective than paid services. Submission does not create a partnership, guarantee acceptance or investment, or mean we fund development. Any arrangement requires a separate agreement.

Submit an Idea for Consideration

Before you get started

Your questions, answered.

Do I need CAD drawings before contacting you?

No. Start with an idea, a sketch, an existing product, a prototype, or a CAD model. We can discuss what information is needed next.

What if I only have an idea?

That is a useful starting point. Describe what it should do or the problem it should solve. You do not need engineering or manufacturing knowledge to begin.

What happens during the free conversation?

We discuss your goals, the general idea, whether the project is a fit, and possible next steps. Detailed research, engineering, CAD, drawings, and prototypes are paid work.

What do I receive from Product Discovery?

Preliminary analysis and a development direction based on an agreed scope. This may include requirements, concept considerations, material or process options, risks, and a roadmap with an estimate for the next phase. It does not include a finished design or prototype.

How much does product development cost?

Cost depends on complexity, unknowns, and deliverables. Discovery helps define the work before a larger investment. You receive a scope and estimate for the proposed phase before deciding to proceed.

How will I know what I am paying for?

An agreed scope and appropriate updates show completed work, visual progress, hours by major task, open decisions, and next steps. Work outside the approved scope requires your approval.

Can you manufacture my product?

We can help develop prototypes and prepare designs for an appropriate manufacturing process. Manufacturing strategy and any vendor coordination depend on the project, production needs, and separately agreed scope.

Can we discuss an NDA?

Yes. We respect the importance of your information and intellectual property. Request a confidentiality or NDA discussion before sharing sensitive details. Provide only a general, nonconfidential description in the initial inquiry; confidentiality arrangements are discussed separately.

Do you partner with inventors?

Selectively. Paid engineering services and potential partnerships are separate paths. Opportunities are reviewed individually, and any collaboration requires a separate agreement.

A general description is enough to start.

Please provide a general description of your project. Do not submit confidential technical details through the inquiry form. You can request an NDA discussion there.

Pool-light mounting bracket

A custom fit for a real problem.

The challenge
Mount a purchased pool light without glue or screws in the vinyl liner.
The approach
We designed a custom bracket around large suction cups to hold the light inside the pool.
Our experience
In our own pool, the bracket has stayed in place without damaging the vinyl liner.

Custom pool-skimmer guard

A practical fix for a stuck pool robot.

The challenge
Pool jets and suction pushed our solar-powered surface-cleaning robot into the wall-skimmer opening, where it got stuck.
The approach
A custom guard designed to keep the robot back, with openings for water to pass through.
Our experience
In our pool, the robot stayed clear. Leaves, insects, and larger debris stayed outside the basket for the robot to collect, so we emptied the basket less often.

An example from our own pool, designed around its skimmer opening.
